First AGN Legal Services meeting |
The first ever AGN International Legal Services meeting was held on 10 December, 2010 in Barcelona, Spain. A total of 12 delegates from the Czech Republic, Germany, Spain, Switzerland and The Netherlands representing various member firms of the organization attended the meeting.
The meeting was hosted by AGN’s member firm, DiG Advocats at their offices in Barcelona. The meeting began with a pre-meeting dinner as an opportunity for attendees to get to know each other informally, which was followed by a full day meeting the following day.
The topics that were discussed at the meeting included: Recognition and enforcement of Judgement in Europe, Data Protection, Employment rights and issues amongst others. The meeting was successful and attendees have already agreed on a date for it to take place again next year.
While European countries have very close commercial relations, legal systems are significantly different in many aspects. In this context, attendees of the meeting agreed that a group of firms providing both, national legal advice and an international global perspective will be of great value for firms incorporated to AGN INTERNATIONAL and for their clients.
AGN International is an association of separate and independent accounting and consulting firms, dedicated to providing their clients with outstanding service wherever in the world they wish to do business. AGN International currently has 202 member firms with 472 office locations in 89 countries and some 8,715 partners and staff.
In a recently published survey, AGN International was ranked the fourth largest independent accounting association in the world based on fee income.
